How to Verify a Payment

Unlike Bitcoin where you just check the address balance, Monero requires the sender to provide a payment proof:

      What you need from the sender:
      TX Hash — the transaction ID
TX Key (tx_secret_key) — only the sender has this
Your address — the receiving address

      How to verify:
      Go to xmrchain.net
Click "Prove sending" or search for the TX hash
Enter the TX key and your address
If valid: shows the amount received (decrypted just for you)
If invalid: "Verify failed" — the proof doesn't match

    

In your wallet: get_tx_key TXID (CLI) or check transaction details (Feather/GUI) to get the TX key for proving payments.
